R Doesn't even come close to how awesome a live Henry Mansfield concert is, but this is one of my favorite albums of all time! Sometimes you find someone who puts exactly how you feel into words and melodies, and for me, that's Henry. Favorite track: Open My Windows.

Wasting Time 02:55
Beyond the cell towers Framed by clouds I know that you're out there Beyond the empty lines and easy crowds I know that you're out there The world's a spiral lifting off I'm on the ground to watch Just wasting time in hopes you will drop A yellow raincoat and my swollen eyes Searching for sunlight Everyone has told me stupid look at the sky But I'd search until midnight Never found the piece I have only given interviews I get my 60 minutes and we move on This book's got tattered pages and A story that's worthwhile I guess that sort of thing's gone out of style The world's a spiral lifting off I'm on the ground to watch Just wasting time in hopes you will drop Something better than a screen I'm sick of these machines Will a shooting star ever fall for me? I'll stay up with you and see

Don't let me get old Don't let the sand under my feet blow away And turn to concrete Instead let the wind carry me away Life's more than a mould Put the charts and graphs away and start a race Mister Softee plays from two streets up You're paying if you lose Don't let me go Men in suits are tapping their shoes in my doorway Like the singing sirens of a high-rise city that gets nearer every day There's a light in your eyes Burning brighter than any cold fluorescent bulb In the city Please don't go there, they will cover up the sky To hide from their trial Ohh, don't let me (get old) Don't let me get old So don't take it away Don't let the curtains fall and let it go to waste If there's a God I think i've seen it In the smile on your face Don't let it go Men in suits are paying debts while I am singing And the distant noises Of the high rise city Like the catcalls of a fading memory Cause I've made my choices And I'd rather sleep here in the dark Away from all the lights with you

So qualified and dignified And the smile that I love A picture shows so clearly That you've got all you could want Because I've asked you for some time But time is a luxury spent by those without adventure I'd love to go broke but I need to sleep And dreamers are the ones with foolhardy endeavors Oh, in all the noise that fills our lives I wonder what you hear The beating of my tell-tale heart Will never reach your ears But anyway I wrote my name In the frost on all your windows I don't think you'll see it in time (But I don't think you're ever inside) It's easy to sound brave when I'm alone and you're off in the mountains Where millions are screaming your name Held up so high you won't notice my arms I'd catch you if you fell But everyone else would as well I've asked you for some time But time is a luxury spent by those without adventure I'd love to go broke but i need to sleep And dreamers are the ones with foolhardy endeavors I used to hate going outside But now I do it all the time I guess I just needed to hear a voice like yours echoing somewhere other than my head My head is a sale of small details And I'll build you a tower if you ask me But you're seated in starlight already

Ocean 05:22
So many fish in the sea But I guess not enough for me I've gone to the ocean to clear my head To forget about things I wish that I'd said And the lies that you'd been fed I took little steps But when I got there, there was nothing left I've come to the ocean and looked across If I were to leave, who would be at loss? Cause I've said I'm fine But by the time This beach gives in To the human condition I won't forget that face I've come to ocean to clear my head But now I'm thinking about things I wish that I'd said

Winter's checked out sooner than my fingertips expected Or maybe I'm just warm with you I haven't checked the weather In a while Democracy is complicated by our free opinions So I'd prefer to skip that stuff Let life make the decisions I don't mind I think we should stop kidding Because truthfully I was blind So the ceiling fan made me feel like I was flying But you have reminded me how the wind felt through my wings (And that little bird within me sings) When I crawl in bed I tuck my left foot under my right knee You didn't know that, now you do I'm taking quite an intimate approach You and I could talk for hours Waiting for a bell to sound Among the subjectivity And questions so, like you, profound I want to share a truth I think I've finally found I know I know I'm singing just for you An educated mouth Betrays a lingering sense of doubt The power is out Pretend we're astronauts With cardboard boxes And a roll of foil Light the fuse and hold tight! And if we end up space Well, I'm happy to simply float away beside you Bring Crayola paint and innocence And your hands to keep us warm Let's go color in the planet Find the answers (if they matter) What the fuck are we still doing here?

about

My debut EP! This album was my way of summing up the last few years, beginning with Wasting Time, the song really solidified my style and direction, and ending with Right Above, a song that is the summation of the themes I started with Wasting Time. It's about love, lack of it, and analyzing the world around us. It's an intimate view into my life. A view of the colors and lives blending from atop a blinking pillar. A view from radio towers.
